Community Needs Assessment for People Experiencing Homelessness in Jasper and Newton Counties

Centers the experiences of people facing homelessness or housing instability so community decisions can respond to reported causes, needs, barriers, and priorities.

A specific tool for a specific community question.

Administrative records can show service use, but they cannot replace what people say about their own experiences. This assessment asks the planning questions the community needs to answer while giving participants space to describe what has helped, what has made help harder, and what leaders should understand.

From submission to public result.

The collection route and the public report serve different audiences. Access is identified before anyone follows a link.

How to read this data responsibly.

Every data set has a defined source, public boundary, and limitation. Those distinctions stay visible alongside the results.

What the public can see

The dashboard publishes combined counts, percentages, and trends. It excludes individual records, contact information, and written comments.

Participant choice

Most questions are optional. The assessment is anonymous unless a participant chooses to request contact and provide a phone number.

Important limitation

This is a voluntary community sample, not a population estimate. Results describe the people who chose and were able to participate.
